Your first video, from avatar to render
From a saved avatar to a rendering reel: pick the avatar, choose where the script comes from, edit it, set the shots, and start the render on your paid plan.
Before you start
You need two things: a saved avatar with a voice, and a plan or a trial. The trial builds the avatar and renders one video; from the second video the plan is asked for at the Generate button, and nothing you built is lost while you decide. If your avatar has no voice yet, the wizard sends you to a page that says the avatar needs a voice. Click Generate Voice there and pick one. It takes about 30 seconds. See Voices.
For what the finished output looks like, the script to video page shows examples of both shot types.
Step 1: Avatar
- Open Generate from the sidebar, or click Make your first video on the avatar done screen, or Generate video on the avatar page.
- Pick the avatar tile. Go with the one that matches the script you have in mind.
- Click Continue to source →.
Step 2: Source
This is where the script comes from. Four cards:
- Ideate with AI content expert. The AI brainstorms six viral hooks for your avatar and niche. Pick one and you get a draft script.
- Reel / TikTok URL. Paste an Instagram, TikTok or YouTube link and click Transcribe. The transcript becomes your starting script and is saved to Reel Analytics.
- Followed accounts. Pick a reel from an account you follow and click Use ▾. Available on Creator and Influencer.
- Written from scratch. Skip straight to an empty script.
For a first video, Ideate with AI content expert is the quickest. Pick a hook and click Continue to script →.
Step 3: Script
The script editor shows your draft. Edit it as you like, or use the co-writer on the side to rewrite everything or get inspiration only. Read it out loud once: this is exactly what the avatar will say.
Click Continue when the text is ready. A disabled button means the editor is still empty: “Write or paste a script to continue”.
Step 4: Shots
The wizard splits your script into shots. Each shot is one of two kinds:
- Talking-head shot. The avatar faces the camera and speaks. One credit per second.
- Cinematic motion shot. The avatar moves through a scene from a text prompt. Two credits per second.
For each shot that starts a new setting, pick a scene: click the scene slot and choose one from your saved scenes, or let the producer suggest one and click Generate This Scene. Chained shots continue the previous scene. If you want help writing the motion prompt, click Direct This Shot or Improve My Prompt.
On Starter, videos are capped at 45 seconds. Cinematic motion shots work on every plan; longer videos start on Creator.
Click Generate. A confirmation shows the shot count, the total seconds, the credits it uses and what stays in your balance: “Start the render?” Click Generate · N cr to start.
On a trial that already rendered its one video, this is where the plan is asked for. The card titled “Render Your First Video” opens over your shots with one button, Unlock Rendering With Starter (or whichever plan you are on), and a Keep Editing link back. Pay there and the wizard picks up the cut you already built: the “Start the render?” confirmation shows once with the credits it uses, and one click starts the render. No second Generate click.
Step 5: It is in the oven
The render page lays out what happens next:
- Close the tab. Rendering keeps going in the background.
- We ping you. You get an email and an in-app notification the moment it is done.
- Find it in Videos. The finished reel lands in your Videos tab, ready to download or post.
Rendering takes a few minutes. Open the video to download it, review the captions, or regenerate a shot. See Download, captions, QA and regenerate.
If the render fails
The render page shows “Render failed.” with the reason. Most failures are temporary and a second run works. If it happens twice, write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO with the video ID from the Videos page and roughly when you started it. Rendering failed covers every message.
