How credits work: what each image, voice and second of video costs
Every image, voice and second of video costs credits. Here is the price of each action, when credits refill, and where to see your balance.
Credits are the one unit for everything you make
Every plan comes with a monthly pool of credits. Each action that generates something spends a fixed number of credits from that pool. There is one pool per account, it refills every billing month, and the Plan and Usage page always shows how much is left.
The price of each action is the same on every plan. What changes between plans is how many credits you get each month and which features are unlocked.
What each action costs
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| One generated image (a face, a scene, a background) | 1 |
| Refining or rerolling one image | 1 |
| Saving an avatar (the automatic angle pack) | 6, charged once at save |
| Designing a voice (a batch of 3 candidates) | 1 |
| Regenerating a single voice | 0.33 |
| Video on the standard model | 1 per second |
| Video on the cinematic model | 2 per second |
The voice track inside a video is included in the per-second rate. You are not charged separately for the speech in a video.
Script writing with the co-writer never spends credits. It has its own daily cap of 50 turns on a paid plan, and the count resets each day.
A worked example
Sarah Johnson is on Creator, which includes 790 credits a month. In one session she:
- Generates 4 scene images: 4 credits.
- Refines one of them twice: 2 credits.
- Renders a 40-second video on the standard model: 40 credits.
- Renders a 20-second video with a 5-second cinematic hook and a 15-second standard body: 10 plus 15, so 25 credits.
That session cost 71 credits and left her with 719 for the rest of the month.
How many videos is that?
The plan cards use one estimate: your monthly credits divided by a 45-second video on the standard model. That works out to about 7 videos a month on Starter, about 17 on Creator, and about 33 on the base Influencer tier. Shorter videos stretch further, and cinematic shots cost double, so treat the estimate as a starting point rather than a quota.
When credits refill
Credits refill at the start of each billing month. Unused credits do not roll over.
On an annual plan you pay once a year, but the credits still arrive month by month. Your yearly total is not dropped into your account all at once.
The Plan and Usage page shows two lines under Credits: Monthly credits remaining, written as remaining out of included, and Next refill, the date your next monthly allocation lands. If you are not signed in yet, the plans and their monthly credits are listed on the pricing page.
Reserved, settled, released
When you start a generation, the credits it needs are held first, then charged when the work finishes. The Credit Usage list on the Plan and Usage page shows each step with a status:
- reserved: held while your generation runs. Set aside, not yet charged.
- settled: the final charge for a completed generation. For video this is reconciled to the real rendered length, so it can be a little less or a little more than the amount first reserved.
- released: the hold went back to your balance in full because the generation failed or was canceled.
- expired: a leftover hold from a generation that never finished, returned to your balance automatically.
A failed render is never charged. Credits and failed renders has the details.
Before you start the trial
An account that has not started the trial yet can make 2 images and 5 scripts. Past the 2 images, the images inside the video wizard and the faces and voice of your first avatar run on a one-time free allowance of 30 credits. After that, the app shows “You’ve used your free allowance. Start the $1 trial to keep creating.” The trial is 1 dollar for three days and comes with 15 credits.
Where to see your balance
- Open Plan & Usage from the sidebar.
- Read Monthly credits remaining on the Credits card.
- Scroll to Credit Usage for the line-by-line history, newest first, with the balance left after each charge.
If a number on that page does not match what you did, write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO with the email on your account and the date of the charge, and we will check the ledger on our side.
