Session and loading problems: refresh, sign-in loops, stale app

Fixes for a session that expired, a sign-in loop, a page that will not load after a release, and the Something Went Wrong screen.

Something stopped loading. Most of what follows is fixed by one of two moves: reload the page, or sign in again. Work down the list until it clears.

”Your session expired. Sign in again to keep going.”

You were signed out and sent to the sign-in page with this banner. Your saved session ended and could not be renewed.

  1. Sign in again with the method you used to join (Google, Meta, or email and password).
  2. You are returned to where you were.

Nothing on your account is affected. A render that was already running keeps running.

Signing in keeps looping back to the sign-in page

Every sign-in lands you back on the same page, or the app flashes and returns you there.

  1. Check that you are online. The app renews your session in the background, and a dropped connection makes the renewal fail.
  2. Reload the page once with a full refresh.
  3. Open the app in a private window. If it works there, a browser extension or a blocked cookie in your normal window is stopping the session from being saved. Allow cookies for the app and try again.
  4. Clear the app’s site data in your browser settings and sign in again.

If the message you see mentions the session could not be refreshed and asks you to check your connection, the app kept your session on purpose and only that one request failed. Retry the action once the connection is stable.

A page will not load right after a release

After we release an update, a tab that was open on the old version can fail to load a page. The app detects this and reloads itself once to pick up the new version. If it does not:

  1. Reload the page.
  2. If the same page still fails, close the tab, open a new one, and sign in again.

Your work is not lost. Everything you saved before the reload is on the server.

”Something Went Wrong.”

A full-screen card with two buttons.

  1. Click Try Again. This retries the page without a reload.
  2. If it comes back, click Reload Page.
  3. If it comes back after a reload, note the line shown under the message and send it to us (see below).

”Could not load your account settings.”

The Settings page could not read your account. Click Retry. If it fails a second time, reload the page and open Settings again.

The plan or credits look wrong after a change

The Plan and Usage page picks up changes when you return to the tab. If a plan change, a pause, or new credits do not show:

  1. Click away and back to the tab, or reload the page.
  2. Check Plan & Usage again.

A page hangs on a loading state

  1. Give it a minute. A render or a large image batch can take a while, and the page updates when the job reports back.
  2. Reload. A job that was running keeps running; the reload only refreshes what the page shows.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the app keep sending me back to the sign-in page? +
Your session could not be renewed. Sometimes the saved session has genuinely expired, and signing in again fixes it in one step. If it happens again right away, the renewal is being blocked by your connection or browser: check that you are online, then try a private window or another browser to rule out a blocked cookie.
