Invoices, receipts, and changing your card
Where to find every invoice and PDF, what each row in Billing History means, how to put a new card on file, and what to do when a charge fails.
Where your invoices are
Every payment is listed in the app, and that is where you download an invoice. Invoices are not sent to your email automatically.
- Open Plan & Usage from the sidebar.
- Scroll to Billing History.
- Each row shows the date, a description, the amount with its currency, and a status such as paid or succeeded.
- Click the description to open the invoice in a new tab, or click PDF ↓ on the right to download it.
The list is newest first. If it says “No charges yet.”, nothing has been billed to the account so far.
What the rows mean
| Row | What it is |
|---|---|
| Trial Validation ($1) | The 1 dollar charge that starts the three-day trial |
| Subscription, or the plan name | A plan payment; this row has the invoice and the PDF |
| Charge | A one-off charge, for example an upgrade difference |
| Refund | Money returned to your card |
| Chargeback | A dispute opened with your bank |
Invoices are issued for subscription payments. A one-off charge shows as a row without a PDF link.
What is on the invoice
The invoice shows the plan and billing interval, the amount, the date, the card used, and the email on your account. On your card statement, the charge shows a descriptor that names AvatarFactory. The line item is your plan and its billing interval, nothing else.
There is no field in the app for a company name, a billing address or a tax ID, so none of those appear on an invoice by default. If your accounting needs one of them, write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO with the email on your account, the invoice date, and the exact wording you need, and we will tell you what we can add on our side.
Change the card on file
The card on file is shown whenever you switch plans, and that summary is also where you replace it.
- Open Plan & Usage.
- Under Other plans, click Switch on any plan. The Confirm Your Switch summary opens and shows Payment method, for example “VISA ending 4242 · exp 04/2028”.
- Click Change payment method.
- Enter the new card and click Save Card. The new card becomes the default for the account.
- If you only wanted to change the card, click Cancel to close the summary without switching plans. The card change is already saved.
Sarah Johnson, for example, opens the Creator switch, saves her new card ending 4242, then clicks Cancel. Her plan is unchanged and the next renewal uses the new card.
“No card on file” on the summary means there is no saved card yet. Add one with Change payment method before confirming any switch.
If the card is refused, the message is shown inline: “Your card could not be saved. Please try again.” or “Could not read the new card. Please try again.” Check the number and expiry and try once more; if it keeps failing, try a different card.
When a payment fails
The Terms say that if a charge fails we may retry it and may suspend the Service until payment is settled. In practice:
- Put a working card on file using the steps above.
- Write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO with the email on your account so we can retry the charge and confirm the plan is back to normal.
The trial charge did not go through
If the checkout showed “Card confirmed but we could not start your trial. Contact support.”, the card step worked but the account did not get its plan. Do not start a second checkout. Write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO with the email on your account and the time you paid; we check the charge and finish the setup on our side.
Something on the list looks wrong
Write to Support@AvatarFactory.IO about a charge you do not recognize, an amount that does not match your plan, or a refund your bank has not shown yet. Include the email on your account, the date and the amount, and never your full card number. We reply within one business day.
